The 19-year-old male was released without charge by gardaí investigating the murder of Thomas (Toddy) Dooley in Edenderry earlier this month.

The 64-year-old was found dead in his home in Sister Senan Court on February 16. He had sustained injuries to his head and body.

A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí are continuing to detain two males aged 19 and 24 at Birr and Portlaoise Garda Stations.
