Prominent republican was innocent victim, court told
Prominent dissident republican Colin Duffy was an innocent victim of a loyalist ambush in the North almost 25 years ago, his lawyer said.
He was with Sam Marshall, 31, as Marshall was gunned down after leaving Lurgan RUC station, Co Armagh, on March 7, 1990. A preliminary hearing of an inquest into his death was held today in Belfast.
