Leitrim Gardaí detain man on multi-million fraud probe

Gardaí in County Leitrim have arrested a 49-year-old man as part of a €4m investment fraud and related money laundering investigation.

The man was detained after the search of a house by officers from the Garda fraud squad and the Criminal Assets Bureau.

Gardaí added they have also frozen money held in various bank accounts.

The suspect is being questioned at Carrick-on-Shannon Garda Station.
