Cork City Council announced a free parking initiative to encourage shoppers to support city centre businesses hit by recent flooding.

The parking will be a mix of free parking in the council's car parks - limited to two hours during the day, but free from 6.30pm to midnight - and free commuter parking at Black Ash.
