Two arrested after cannabis seizure worth €25,000

Two men have been arrested in connection with cannabis seizure worth €25,000.

Gardaí stopped two men in their 20s in a vehicle on the Rathgar Road, Dublin, yesterday, and searched the vehicle. The occupants were found to have a quantity of cannabis herb on their persons, and a larger volume was found following a full search of the car.

Gardaí carried out a further search of two properties in connection with the seizure, and discovered more cannabis and cannabis herb, as well as ecstasy and cocaine.

The men were arrested and taken to Terenure Garda Station, and were later released. A file is being prepared for the DPP.
