The Minister for Transport Leo Varadkar says he will decide early next year if a tunnel through the Phoenix Park in Dublin is to reopen to commuter trains.

Mr Varadkar said it would cost between €10m and €15m to reopen the tunnel and it would allow trains currently stopping at Heuston Station, especially those on the Portlaoise line, to go on to Connolly Station.
