Kerry man appears in court charged with murdering his mother

A 19-year-old man has appeared in Killarney district court charged with murdering his mother.

Patrick Dunne is charged with murdering Susan Dunne at their home in Lixnaw, County Kerry last Wednesday.

Mr Dunne was remanded in custody to appear in court again next week.

A post mortem revealed she had suffered a "violent death".
