Three Irish siblings released in Egypt
Three of the four Irish siblings who have been in detention in Egypt for almost three months have been released.
Somaia, Fatima and Omaima Halawa were detained following demonstrations against the military coup in Egypt in August.
The three women have now been released and are free to return to Ireland.
Their brother Ibrahim remains in police detention and is due to attend a further hearing in court on Saturday.
Eamon Gilmore said their release follows telephone contact with the Egyptian Foreign Minister on Monday, during which he expressed the Irish Government's concern that the Halawas were being held without charge.
