A Dublin man is to go on trial in Scotland in January charged with the murder of his mother earlier this year.

A Dublin man is to go on trial in Scotland in January charged with the murder of his mother earlier this year.

39-year-old James Dunleavy is accused of killing his mother - 66-year-old Philomena Dunleavy from Marino - and burying her dismembered body at an Edinburgh beauty spot in May.

He has pleaded not guilty.

The case is expected to last 20 days.
