High Court to review case of O'Connell Street woman

The High Court will today review the case of a woman in care who has been identified as a 25-year-old Australian.
Reports suggest that the woman has numerous identities and is known to police in New South Wales.
Gardaí initially thought she was a teenager and the victim of sex trafficking when she was found wandering in distress outside the GPO in Dublin on October 10.
Despite being identified as an adult, the woman was kept in the care of the HSE overnight over concerns about what would happen if she were allowed leave.
A psychiatric assessment was scheduled to take place yesterday afternoon.
