Revenue head to be hauled before committee over property tax chaos

The head of the Revenue Commissioners has been asked to appear before the Oireachtas Finance Committee to explain why some people are being asked to pay next year's property tax this month.

It follows criticism of the timing and operation of the scheme after Revenue sent a letter to thousands of households in recent weeks about the tax.
