Automatic guardian rights planned for unwed fathers

Unmarried fathers may be granted automatic guardianship of the child if they have lived with the mother for a year before the birth.

In a report carried by today's Sunday Times, it's claimed the Minister for Justice, Alan Shatter, is preparing legislation which would include the guardianship rights for unwed dads.
