Kildare drawing water from River Barrow during shortage

Kildare County Council says it is increasing its water supply from the River Barrow.

This is to help customers in the county who are being affected by the reduced supply from Ballymore Eustace, which serves the Greater Dublin Region.

It has been announced that night time water restrictions, from 8pm to 7am, will continue until at least next Thursday.

Around 1.5 million water users in counties Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow are affected.

Kildare County Council says it will review the situation again on Monday.
