Gardaí check thousands of vehicles in speeding clampdown

Gardaí have said more than 7,000 vehicles have already been checked for speeding as part of the bank holiday weekend crackdown.

Up to 20 speeding offences were detected nationwide this morning as part of Operation Slowdown.
