Pedestrian killed in Dublin accident

A male pedestrian has died after he was struck by a vehicle on the N7 in Dublin this evening.

The incident happened southbound near junction 3 at Citywest.

The 64-year-old man was taken to Tallaght Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The road is closed to traffic and is expected to remain closed until 11pm tonight.

Diversions are in place and motorists are advised of long delays in the area.
