The Garda Ombudsman is investigating complaints that a contractor on the Shell gas pipeline delivered thousands of euro worth of alcohol to gardaí in Mayo.

A garda investigation is already underway into the allegations that OSSL ordered drink to be sent to gardaí in Belmullet for Christmas 2007.
