An investigation by the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission has found no evidence that gardaí were supplied alcohol by Shell E&P Ireland.

The Garda Ombudsman is investigating complaints that a contractor on the Shell gas pipeline delivered thousands of euro worth of alcohol to gardaí in Mayo.
