Gardaí arrest two in Kildare drugs seizure

Gardaí have arrested two men after a drugs raid in Co. Kildare.

Detectives targeting the sale and supply of drugs searched a house at Johnstownbridge this afternoon and found what they described as "a sophisticated mixing factory" for cocaine and heroin.

They seized the drugs which they believe has an estimated street value of €2m.

The two men, aged 40 and 53, were arrested at the scene and are being held at Leixlip Garda Station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

The scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
