Dublin Gardaí hold man in hit-and-run probe

Gardaí have arrested a man in connection with a hit-and-run in Dublin.

The incident happened on Trinity Lane at the back of Clonliffe Road on the city's Northside at 1pm yesterday.

The man in his mid 30's was arrested at around midday today by Gardaí at Mountjoy Station and is currently being held in the station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

A 34-year-old man who was injured in the incident remains in a serious condition in the Mater Hospital.

The car believed to have been involved was later found burnt out on Stoney Road in East Wall.
