Stargazers to watch for partial lunar eclipse tonight

It should seem darker tonight as a partial eclipse of the moon is expected.

Astronomy Ireland says a penumbral lunar eclipse will begin at around 11pm tonight and will last for up to four hours.

The eclipse will be at its greatest at around 12.50am.

Anyone who takes pictures of the spectacle is asked to send them to Astronomy Ireland.
