ASTI dispute may close schools for a day

Schools are now facing full day closures as the row of over pay continues with teachers.

It is being reported that Malahide Community School, one of the country's largest secondary schools, will close for the day next Tuesday to facilitate parent teacher meetings.

The closure comes as a result of industrial action by ASTI members who are refusing to undertake any work outside of school hours following their rejection of the Haddington Road Agreement.
