At least one in five young people in Ireland are experiencing a mental health problem at any one time, according to a survey carried for the National Youth Mental Health centre Headstrong.

At least one in five young people in Ireland are experiencing a mental health problem at any one time, according to a survey carried for the National Youth Mental Health centre Headstrong.

The findings of the report also show that 60% of those would not seek help if they are experiencing a problem.

Dr Barbara Dooley, Senior lecturer at UCD's School of Psychology, carried out the research said the findings are worrying.
