Search for missing fisherman to resume tomorrow
Searches for a fisherman missing off the north Clare coast have been called off for the evening.
The 42-year-old Latvian man was swept off rocks while fishing between Doolin and Fanore yesterday and efforts by friends to save him failed.
Searches involving the Doolin Unit of the Irish Coast Guard, the Shannon-based Coast Guard Helicopter and Navy Divers continued throughout today but have now been stood down for the evening due to deteriorating weather conditions.
They are expected to resume in the morning.
