Rebel FG TDs looking for quick reform of Seanad

The group of rebel Fine Gael TDs, the Reform Alliance, are said to be seeking a suspension of normal Dáil business tomorrow to discuss reform the Seanad.

The Government now looks poised to bring about some form of change in the Upper House following Friday's referendum defeat to abolish the Seanad.

A number of Senators, including Fergal Quinn and Katherine Zappone, have already made proposals for change in a Bill already introduced to the Seanad.
