Referendum turnout expected to be low
There are less than 24 hours left for voters to make up their mind on how they will vote in the Seanad Referendum.
The government is calling for a YES vote arguing it will save the taxpayer €20m - while the no side argue by losing the upper house a crucial system of checks and balances will be lost.
It is believed that turnout will be low - with less than 30% of voters expected to cast their ballot.
