Top 'bloggers' to attend tourism conference

Some of the world's top 'bloggers' will attend a major conference in Dublin from today.

It is thought up to 600 on-line, travel and lifestyle blogger's will take part in the T-B-E-X 2013 global social media conference in the Burlington Hotel.

The Director of Market Development with Fáilte Ireland, John Concannon, said this event will prove a major boost to Ireland as a tourism destination.

"This is a great showcase for Ireland," he said.

"It’s a brilliant year for Ireland with the year of the gathering, the gathering itself has been a great success

"This is a gathering of tourism and travel media and what we are trying to do is we need to create an impact in the social media arena about Ireland as a great destination."
