Gardaí await postmortem to identify woman's body in Dublin
Gardaí are awaiting the formal identification of a woman's body found in north Dublin today.
They have said will not be formally identified until a postmortem has been carried out by the State pathologist. It is expected to take place tomorrow.
The body was found on the Ballymun Road in Dublin this afternoon at around 3.30pm.
A dog was standing close to where the remains were discovered.
It was found in the area where searches were being carried out for missing woman Margaret 'Peggy' Mangan.
The 65-year-old, who has Alzheimers disease, has been missing since she left her house in Terenure to walk her dog last Tuesday.
