Elderly women beaten and robbed in Co Donegal

Gardaí in Co. Donegal are hunting for a man who beat and robbed a pensioner in her home.

The incident happened in Glencar at around 5.20am this morning.

The 80-year-old woman received minor injuries and has been released from Letterkenny General Hospital, although she is said to be badly shaken.

The lone male got away with a sum of cash and jewellery.
