Seanad abolition might not save quoted €20m, Oireachtas warns

Oireachtas authorities have said the abolition of the Seanad might not save €20m a year, contrary to Government claims.

Leinster House authorities told the Referendum Commission that although the Seanad costs €20m a year to operate, not all of that can be saved through abolition.
