Labour Senator calls for Gilmore to be replaced as party leader
A self confessed "semi-dissident" in the Labour party has called for Eamon Gilmore to be replaced as leader.
Senator John Kelly has told the Roscommon People newspaper that younger people should take over in the party and that Mr Gilmore should be ousted before next summer's local and European elections.
Senator Kelly has already defied the party leadership on the abolition of the Seanad, openly campaigning for the retention of the upper house.
