VIDEO: Surge in donations after Majella O'Donnell shaves head on Late Late

The Irish Cancer Society has reported a huge surge in donations after Daniel O'Donnell's wife Majella shaved her head live on TV last night.

The charity say their site crashed with the "flood of goodwill" for Majella following her appearance on 'The Late Late Show'.

The 53-year-old is currently undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer.

She says she wanted to use the 'Late Late' opportunity to raise as much awareness and funds as she could for the cancer charity.
