Higgins to announce Professor of Poetry

President Michael D Higgins will today announce Ireland's "Professor of Poetry".
The prestigious position is designed to celebrate the contribution of Irish poets to the world of literature.
The Professor of Poetry will sit for three years - during which he'll be attached to Trinity College, UCD and Queen's University Belfast over the period.
The position was first set-up after the late Seamus Heaney was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature - and it's believed President Higgins will pay tribute to the Derry native in his remarks.
