Fears grow for state of homeless services

Homeless services are in a worse state now that they have ever been.
That is according to the Peter McVerry Trust which has just launched its 2012 annual report.
3,500 people were helped last year - and three quarters were young men under the age of 35.
Fr. Peter McVerry said the problem is heightened by the Governments decision to abandon social housing.
"In order to deal with the problem of homelessness the government have got to take control of the social housing stock and increase it."
