Man dies in Kildare car accident

A man in his thirties has been killed in a road crash in Celbridge, Co Kildare.

He died when his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a car on the westbound carriageway of the M4 Maynooth Road just before 3pm this afternoon.

He was pronounced dead at the scene which has been sealed off for a forensic examination.

Motorists are being advised that diversions are in place.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the crash to come forward.
