Latest poll puts FG two ahead of FF; SF catching up
Fine Gael holds a two-point lead over Fianna Fáil in the latest political opinion poll.
The Millward Brown poll for tomorrow's Sunday Independent shows Fine Gael with the support of 27% of the electorate, ahead of Fianna Fáíl on 25%.
Sinn Féin has its strongest performance in six months, with the support of 21% of voters, while Labour is back on 8%.
The poll also finds rising support for abolishing the Seanad, but the combined support of those supporting its retention and reform hold a lead of one percentage point.
