Gardaí probe death of teen in tractor fall

Gardaí have launched a probe into the death of a 14-year-old boy who fell from a tractor.

The boy was a passenger on the vehicle when it crashed and he fell, sustaining serious head injuries, at Knocknacullata, Killavullen in Mallow, Co Cork at 5.45pm yesterday.

He was airlifted to Cork University Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Gardaí closed the road at the scene and are to carry out a forensic collision examination.
