Hospital launches investigation into leak of abortion information

The National Maternity Hospital in Holles Street in Dublin has launched an investigation into how details of a woman's termination at the facility were leaked to the media.

It was reported this morning that an abortion carried out at the hospital earlier this summer was the first to be carried out under the new Protection of Life During Pregnancy Act.
