Prayer service for missing Fiona Pender on 17th anniversary
A prayer service will take place in Offaly this evening to remember Fiona Pender on the 17th anniversary of her disappearance.
The 25-year-old hairdresser went missing from her home on Church Street in Tullamore on August the 22nd 1996.
She was seven months pregnant at the time.
Fiona's mother Josephine has told Midlands 103 that she is still haunted by her daughter's disappearance.
"I can't go to bed until I know I'm going to sleep because it's too hard," she said. "I can't lie on the bed because it's just like a television programme going in front of my eyes, remembering everything."
