PSNI arrest three in €7k cocaine seizure in Belfast

Three men have been arrested after £6,000 (€7,000) worth of cocaine was seized during a police raid on the outskirts of east Belfast.

An undisclosed sum of cash and drugs paraphernalia were also seized from the house in the Marlfield Drive area of Braniel estate yesterday.

The trio were arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply and are in police custody.

Chief Inspector Derek Martin, PSNI area commander for Castlereagh, said tackling drug dealers is a priority for his officers.

“There can be no place for illegal drugs in our communities and the seizure of these suspected drugs on Friday evening is an indication of our commitment to removing drugs from circulation. Through seizures of this nature, we are reducing the harm that is caused to the community,” he said.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the PSNI.
