Boy is back in town as Lynott to get second unveiling
One of Dublin's most famous faces will return to the streets of the capital today.
The statue of Phil Lynott will again take its place on Harry Street after it was removed for repairs last May.
The life-sized brass sculpture was left with a large gash after it was knocked to the ground.
The music star's mother Philomena will unveil the return of the memorial this morning (11am), just days before what would have been Phil's 64th Birthday on August 20th.
Richard Guiney, CEO of the Dublin Business Improvement District, will be attending the ceremony, and said Lynott "adds to what is the unique atmosphere of Dublin city."
"He's part of the fabric, and part of the uniqueness of Dublin … having Phil back is certainly very beneficial."
