There have been three major drugs seizures across the country, worth a total of more than €5m.

A man is due in court in Gorey this morning in connection with the first seizure of more than 10 kilos worth of heroin, worth more than one a half million euro, hidden in a jeep at Rosslare Europort.

In the second seizure, two men were arrested after 60 kilos of herbal cannabis, worth €1.2m, was found hidden in a container of tiles - also at Rosslare Europort.

In Meath, two men are being held in connection with the seizure of 120 kilos of cannabis herb, worth €2.4m, found at a house in Oldcastle in Co Meath.

Two men, aged 50 and 31, were arrested at the scene and are currently being detained at Kells Garda station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
