Revenue seize €1.2m of cannabis in Rosslare
Two men in their 20s with addresses in Northern Ireland have been arrested by Gardaí following a seizure of drugs at Rosslare Europort.
Officers from Revenue's Customs Service seized 60kg of herbal cannabis with a street value of approximately €1.2m at Rosslare Europort.
The men are being detained at Wexford Garda station this evening.
Meanwhile, a 63-year-old man is due to appear before a special sitting of Gorey district court in the morning following a seperate seizure of heroin at the same port.
Heroin with a street value of €1.5m was seized when customs officials stopped a jeep yesterday.
Both seizures were uncovered with the help of customs sniffer dog teams.
