The father of the two young boys found dead in a car in Co Mayo earlier this week has appeared in court in Co Roscommon.

The father of the two young boys found dead in a car in Co Mayo earlier this week has appeared in court in Co Roscommon.

43-year-old Sanjeev Chada is charged with the murder of his sons Eoghan and Ruairi, aged ten and five.

He appeared in court in Co Mayo last night and again at Harristown District Court this morning.

Judge Conal Gibbons remanded him in custody to appear in court again on August 16.

Judge Gibbons also directed that the defendant receives appropriate medical treatment, after his solicitor, James Hanley expressed concern.
