Man dies, two in hospital after Cavan road accident

A man in his early 20's has died in a two-vehicle road crash over night.

Two other men are in a serious condition in hospital after the incident, near Stradone in Co. Cavan.

The man, who was the driver of one of the cars, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other men - the driver of the second car in his 20's and a teenage passenger - were taken by ambulance to Cavan General Hospital where their condition is described as serious.

The incident is under investigation and the road at the scene is closed this morning.
