Cavan road accident kills one

A person has died in a road traffic collision in county Cavan overnight.

The accident occurred near Stradone village.

Gardaí said the road through Stradone from the centre of the village towards Lavey will remain closed for most of the day, while a technical examination is being carried out.

Local diversions are in place.
