Car crash puts man in serious condition in Louth

A man in his 30s is in a serious condition after a single-vehicle crash in Louth.

At about 2.15am this morning his vehicle crashed at Monksland on the Dundalk to Carlingford road.

He was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda by ambulance.

The road is currently closed at Grange Cross, with local diversions in place.

Nobody else was injured in the accident.
