Man rescued from sea at Sandymount

A man has been rescued from the sea at Sandymount in Dublin.

The Dun Laoghaire Lifeboat and the Dublin Coastguard attended the scene and the man was taken from the water just after 2pm.

The man - who is believed to be in his fifties - is now being transferred by helicopter to Tallaght Hospital.
