New appeal for information on Dublin murder

A new appeal to the public has been launched over the murder of Paul Cullen in Dublin in March.

The 26-year-old was shot dead in the Cabra House pub on Fassaugh Avenue, Dublin 7 on March 3 last.

At 7.04pm on the night, a motorcycle pulled up on the footpath outside the pub. The pillion passenger got off the motorcycle and entered the pub while the driver remained outside on the motorcycle.

The passenger fatally shot Mr Cullen before leaving the pub, getting back on the motorcycle and leaving the scene at speed.

“We are appealing to anyone who can help with our investigation into the murder of Paul Cullen in Cabra to call Crimestoppers today," Detective Inspector Colm Murphy said

"Even information which seems insignificant could be very important”.

Anybody with information can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 1800 25 00 25.

As part of the Crimestoppers appeal, Gardaí will this morning operate a checkpoint at Fassaugh Avenue where they'll hand out leaflets calling on members of the public to come forward with information.
