Lucinda Creighton has said she was not criticising her Fine Gael colleagues when she told the Dáil there was a "groupthink" evident in the abortion debate.

Writing in the Irish Mail on Sunday today, the former European Affairs Minister said she rejects the idea of a party whip on an issue of conscience, and wrote that she wants to "set the record straight" regarding her expulsion from Fine Gael.
