Puppy takes refuge underneath a bonnet of a car
A US couple were shocked to find a puppy trapped under the bonnet of their car.
According to Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue spokesman Mike Jachles, the pooch travelled "anything from four, five or 10 miles" during his ordeal, but he was later saved when rescuers removed a wheel so they could pull him out between the steering mechanism and an axle.
Fortunately the stray pooch survived without any harm, but he was said to be hot and exhausted.
Mike added: "They realised the engine wasn't purring. In fact, it was actually running a little 'ruff'."
